Viewers watch what happens when two dozen modern-day men, women and children spend five months living as settlers did, working together to build a functioning colony. The eight-part series shatters historical myths and common misconceptions by tracking the first-hand experiences of the modern-day colonists as they live in the year 1628 for five months on the misty Maine coast, with only the technology of the time at their disposal.
