Poll question: How many tickets have you had in the past 10 years?
Edited on Thu May-13-04 02:24 PM by zwade
I was wondering how many tickets (moving violations - not parking etc) you have had in the past 10 years.

2. None
I've had one non-moving violation, but nothing that put points on my license.

5. Just one
I've had one; I've been driving for almost 13 years (if you include driver's ed).

I was clocked going 48 in a 25. I don't think I was going that fast (but it does slow from 40 to 25 pretty quickly). But I was speeding. I deserve the ticket that Traffic Court ultimately reduced mine to (general speeding, 3 points, rather than reckless-op speeding, 6 points).

I got this ticket Sept. 10, 2001, so I wasn't complaining about it for very long...

8. None. I haven't owned a car in the last ten years.
I rent them. Last summer I was stopped and almost had my stellar record (since about 1979) ruined. The cop claimed I was doing 70 in a 35 mile zone--totally unlikely! I was probably doing 50, to be honest, because I was heading toward a 50 mile zone. Maybe the cop chickened out on giving me a ticket when he realized that I could challenge him on that and win?

9. Exactly 2 (there's no choice for that)
Both were photo radar, both were at the very start of playground zones, both were a small bit over the limit, and both show my brake lights on. Blah.

11. Oops
I meant 2 or less.

Can you edit a poll without goofing them up or will it reset them or something?

15. Police Target teens
You'll probably get more if you dont be careful - and even if you do; they may mess with you just to see what you are up to. Between 16-21 I probably had 10 tickets. Past 15 years - maybe 1 - past 10 years - none. Also, not sure what state you are in, but in mine - minors can lose their license very easily.

18. None.
I've only ever had one ticket my whole life, and that was for going 5 over the speed limit in a "residential" area, which was bull, because it was a highway with businesses.
