4. The one time I got detention was for Senior Skip Day

(500 kids in Saturday Detention. Fun, fun, fun! Although now, I think, I'd enjoy the two hours of silence in which to read.)

But I think the most likely detention I would have now (and, for that matter, the one I would have had, if the principal of the school had not said, "young lady, get the hell out of my gym" instead, in response to my pep-rally protest) is the "disresepcting authority" type -- even though it would be a misrepresentation. I have great respect for authority that deserves it. I have little patience for those who don't.

5. I was in after-school detention only TWICE

and that was because I was late for class . My middle school had this stupid stupid stupid ultra stupid principal who without any warning would announce for teachers in specific parts of the school to immediately lock their doors 2 minutes , 2 MINUTES before the 5 minute allowed changing class time ( the time to get to and from each class) was over . Mind you I had a sprained ankle so I needed extra time . No understanding for what I went through and I was in after-school detention twice for that BS .

I went to a vocational school so we had to adhere to shop-like safety regulations even in the academic portion of our year (2 weeks shop/2 weeks class alternating for a year). Sometimes my shirt came untucked and I had to stay after.
