My state (MN) is already blue! What red-state DUer wants my DU donation?

Please post what state you are from and, in 200 words or less, why I should donate to DU in your name. All entries will be considered! Contest will end when I get around to it!

1. I'm curious...

When you make a donation in someone else's name, you enter their username, but you still enter all your own personal information. I'm curious if the donation is counted against the state of the person making the donation, or the person designated. Anyone know?

3. Let me repeat: I am offering to donate to DU in YOUR NAME

if your state is still red on the fund-raising graphic at the top of the page. My home state, Minnesota, is apparently full of committed DUers with more money than they know what to do with, because it currently is only one of five states in the blue. As a true Minnesotan of Scandinavian AND German descent, I don't want to toot our own horn any more than it's already been tooted. So I'm willing to donate in your state's name to show the world there are DUers all over the country!

Although as Misunderstimator pointed out above, it might not work and my donation may be counted towards Minnesota no matter what. But we won't know until we try! So c'mon, make the case why I should donate in the name of your red state!
