Deputies Sue After They Found Glass In Their McDonald's Burgers
<snip>

TAMPA, Fla. -- Two Hillsborough County deputies are suing McDonald's, saying some shards of glass were intentionally put in their cheeseburgers.

The suit has been filed by attorney Barry Cohen on behalf of deputies Stuart O'Shannon and Daniel Witt. They were the only customers in a Fowler Avenue McDonald's on July 10th.

As they ate, O'Shannon started choking and coughing up blood. He and Witt say they checked their burgers, finding shards of glass mixed in with the chopped onions.

3. There you go again: just another frivolous lawsuit against an American
corporation that provides sound nutrition and tasty food to moppets and adults alike at affordable prices. If we allow suits like this to proceed to trial, corporations will go bankrupt, the GNP will be significantly decreased, and consumers will suffer because of one or two malcontents who couldn't see their way clear to simply remove the glass and continue munching on their burgers.

Bet one of their brothers-in-law is a trial lawyer who put them up to this. Maybe they brought in a baggie of broken glass. I'm telling you I don't believe McDonalds had ANYTHING to do with this adventure in dining. And when McDonalds wins in court, I hope the company asks these bozos to pick up their tab for attorneys who could have been attending more important business at McDonalds HQ.

Whew. That's a lot of sarcasm on just one cup of coffee.
