I DON'T WANT TO WASH MY DISHES
I have a sink full of dishes that need to be washed. I don't feel like doing it! I need a dishwasher. Someone come wash my dishes. I'll pay you a dollar. ;)

I can only imagine the copy cat threads for this.

I like washing dishes. It's fun!

p.s. - and yeah, I can think of a lot of copy cat threads. Though they'll all get locked. :-)

2. I find washing dishes
the least foul of household chores. There was a thread a few days ago where many people compared washing dishes to a 'zen-like' experience, and I agree 100%. Tell ya what...I'll wash your dishes if you'll fold my laundry. I'd rather eat my own liver than fold clothes. x(

I don't mind doing laundry
Doing the dishes hurts my back. I'm 6'5 and i have to bend a little over the sink to wash. I need a taller kitchen sink. :)

9. I did mine twice today
No dishwasher either (and I have children). I'll take it. Let's see in addition to my dishes today, I have changed 4 diapers, made 3 meals (4 if you count two at dinner), shopped for lawn seeds and fertilizer, dealt with nap tantrums, did my assorted ab and butt exercises, walked 1.5 miles, spent at least a couple hours going in circles with my spouse (don't ask), helped with homework, picked up the living room many times, took someone to basketball practice, took care of the weeds growing in the sidewalk cracks, gassed up the car, stood up against sexual harassment (some men are creeps), fulfilled my duties of becoming a more informed and enlightened citizen on DU, and will finalize my 3rd A this Semester tomorrow.

Who says I don't do enough? (Oh, I know. :eyes: ) I'd love a dollar. Actually, I'd love more. I think it's about time for me to get back into the workforce. I've had it up to my ears with unpaid domesticity.

11. Every dish I own is dirty in my sink
For the past week I've been eating breakfast cereal from the same old mason jar that I rinse out right before I use it again.

13. Get a DOG. (place dishes on floor for auto-rinse)
Edited on Thu May-13-04 12:03 AM by Eye and Monkey
DOG happy, you happy!

EXTRA BONUS -
If unwanted dinner company present, make big deal about how clean the dishes get; once DOG finished, place dishes directly into cupboard. Presto! unwanted dinner company will no longer accept dinner invitations (thus allowing you to extend them often).

14. GS, right now...
...I have a sinkful of dishes, too.

I'll race you. Reply to me in the affirmative, and we will see who is the quickest dishwasher.

Let's make it a competition--we can both get a chore done and make it a little more fun.

Are you game?

Get up off your duff and wash those dishes!

Think of a clean countertop tomorrow morning. It'll be worth it.

20. I sympathize! And I'll share my mom's advice...
"Oh, you poor thing, I know just what will cheer you up... go soak your hands in dishwater!

And you know, it still works to this day! Of course, now my hubby complains that he can't get the dishes done because I'm always soaking my hands... :D
