Please Help Me With Dinner!
Tonight I'm serving beef kabobs, but I really don't know how long to put them in the oven for. Here's my dilemma.

I only have one pan and the three beef kabob skewers fit on it. The vegetable skewers are on another pan. Should I put those two pans in the oven at the same time? What temp do you cook it at? How long?

1. no
cook the meat much longer than the vegetables. Like suppose you have 1 inch cubes of steak, cook them in the oven for at least 40 minutes or so at about 400 or until done to your choice. But the vegetables should be crisp, like 12 minutes at 400.

Me I'd grill the kabobs.

2. beef: use a thermometer
if you don't have one, go to a cooking site to find the time/temp for the weight of beef you have.

veggies: Unless you have potatoes on the kabobs, don't put them in at the same time as the beef, or they'll be way overdone.

Sounds good -- good luck! :bounce:

6. Broil the Kabobs.
5 minutes or so, then rotate 180 degrees and broil for another 5 minutes.

7. Sad experience: if the skewers are wood, soak them
in water, for quite some time. I found a little oil on the skewers helps the stuff slide off better. Kabobs in the oven, no help here. Dang, I'm usually full of ...advice.
