Anyone have an iPod mini?

If so, I have some questions for you:

1. Can you transfer music by dragging + dropping in Windows explorer? I think you could with the original iPod, not 100% sure though, and know you can with most MP3 players.

2. Can you make playlists on the iPod itself? I heard before you could only make playlists in iTunes.

I've got a mac, and I use itunes since it's simple - I'm one of those horrid computer users who hates dicking with applications; I just want it to work, dammit. On mine, if I have it loaded as an external hard drive, I can drag and drop things onto it, but it's much easier, and uses the playlists far better if I use iTunes.

No, play lists have to be created in the desktop software (below are links you might prefer to iTunes.) They're an xml file type, IIRC.
