Michigan grad ranks at top _ and bottom _ of his class
WALKER, Mich. (AP) -- With his 3.93 grade-point average, Jeremie Yoder ranks at the very top of his senior class at the West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science.

It doesn't hurt that he's also the school's only senior.

This was the first year the 9-year-old charter school in Walker, a Grand Rapids suburb, offered the 12th grade. Yoder was the first and only senior accepted.

He spent three years at Union High School before transferring at the start of this school year to the 268-student academy, where he is in a class by himself.
