Who was that guy who isn't vic tayback who had a late night talk show?
back in the 70s/early 80s? And what was the show called? I just had a memory of watching that show, and remember it had an odd name: like "tomorrow", maybe.

Anyone remember?

Always liked that guy. Seem to remember he was always smoking cigarettes on the show, too.

Imagine anyone trying to pull that nowadays.

4. Wow - the Scientologists haven't had those shows destroyed?
or tied up in centuries of litigation?

How odd.

:-)

9. Vic Tayback is the polar opposite of Tom Snyder
just like Linda Lavin is the polar opposite of Katie Couric. It's really just a simple algorithm.

13. Yes! Better than my answer
Because Vic kinda looks like Snyder, so I needed to find someone who looked the guy I was thinking of, but that I knew wasn't.

!VicTayback = TomSnyder

10. Tomorrow was a great show
Tom Snyder was hilarious. He even had the Grateful Dead on after the release of "Go To Heaven."

David Letterman, the Saint of American TV, even restarted the Tomorrow show, complete with Tom Snyder, when he moved to CBS.

11. I used to
really enjoy watching that show. In the mid 80's I believe he was followed by John Stewart and John was often his guest. I used to always watch John while up late nursing one of the babies. I used to see lots of late night!

12. I watched Snyder interview Charles Manson during my honeymoon
Not that there was any cause and effect acting here, of course.

Scary as Snyder's interview with Manson was, by the way, it paled beside his world-shattering interview with John Lydon in his first apocalyptic post-Rotten days.
