Man leads officers to his own pot plants

A Bozeman man, under the false impression he was being robbed Monday, called police to his West Durston Road home only to lead them to his marijuana growing operation.

Officers arrested 19-year-old David Andrew Lagarde around 7:15 a.m., Monday, after he called 911 and said he was being robbed.

When officers arrived, Legarde said one of the robbers was hiding in a closet.

Bozeman Police Sgt. Dave McManis found no intruders in the home. However, he did find two marijuana plants in Legarde's bedroom closet, according to court records.
