Weridest weddings you've attended?

An OTO wedding...sunset, all of us in black robes on a hillside as the sun went down. We had a black and red hexagram cake for the wedding cake. After cutting off the pig's head, we made a BBQ. Then someone had to ruin it by doing a Mass of the Pheonix. Sigh. Too much blood then...some witches tried to clean the place up, but the energy let off then just ruined it all.

The Biker/Vampire/Norse Wedding

Not much happened, but it was just a strange scene. This Preacher with a beard longer than a dwarfs lead the show. I'm standing in gothic clothes, so I'm sorta fitting in.

The Man gave his wife his sword...a real freeping sword just made for this occasion. Part of the vows were that if he betrayed her, she had the right to use that as she would.

I sometimes wonder if I was invited to a Gor wedding and didn't know it.

1. Mine

Not quite as dramatic but it was different.

We were married in a vacant lot next to my in-laws vacation home. There were wild gooseberries all around. The sun was setting over our local volcano.

I wore a forest green and navy blue dress from Afghanistan. He wore new light blue cordury jeans and a Mexican wedding shirt. Our friends and family held hands in a circle around us. A dog with a red bandana lay down between us and the minister.

There was a total eclipse of the moon that night and we danced down the street playing music and drinking chaqmpagne.

It was 29 years ago this month. We are still together. :-)

2. I'm soooo happy for you two!

We've talked a lot, but I didn't know about that part of your life really.

3. My sister's was not wierd..but different

In front of the family ski cabin..outside...in February. It is at about 6,500 feet, but wasn't that bad..my sis wore a backless wedding dress, seeing as how she weighs like 30 pounds we thought for sure she'd be a goner. But she said that she was so nervous she was actually hot.

being non religious gays we had to rely on an officer of the US-China Peoples Friendship Association to perform our short sweet ceremony everyone wore red/white/or black that was 27 years ago on St Valentine's Day.

5. My own

It involved my morning sickness and the incontinence of my late father-in-law. Plus, my brother in law taped over the ceremony and in the hotel the next morning, we were awakened at 6a.m. by fire alarms. Then the sand fleas on Block Island. Disaster after disaster.

I now consider it something along the lines of foreshadowing.
