2. Lawnchair Method
Set it out on a lawnchair and hose it down. That also cleans the keyboard.

14. Might need a power sprayer if he's the kind who eats cheetos
or pasta while typing.

personally, i like to soak mine in Kerosene for a half hour then put it in the self-cleaning cycle of the oven to get all that crud loosened up, then send it through the lawnchair method while it's still oven-hot.

But then I'm probably a lot more anal-retentive about cleanliness than others.

4. Avoid oil-based products, windex too
They make special cleaners for LCD screens. Use only those and don't try cheating...

6. Got this cloth at Linens and Things
It's called Wondercloth, it's grey and looks like a piece of flannel. No lint, just water, no chemicals and no streaks. Use it for the computers , tv's etc. Radioshack sells a spray for screens but it doesn't work too well. Leaves streaks.

five years without a single problem. Then the screen went. RIP
Shopping for a new one. May go Apple.

9. Endust for Electronics
I've used Endust for Electronics (aerosol spray in a blue can) for years for cleaning computer screens, stereo equipment, electronic musical instruments, etc. This cleaning formula is specifically made for plastics, doesn't scratch, and has a bit of anti-static compound added. For some reason, in recent years, I've had a hard time finding this stuff locally, so I had to mail order a case from

11. Distilled water
on a cloth might be okay, but check with the manufacturer.

The lawn chair method posted above is viable as well.

15. Here's What I Did... I Don't Know If It Will Help You Though
I moved it further away from me and kind of turned to the side a little. Seems to help a little.

17. I like acetone with a little turpentine.
Sanitizes,too.

Seriously, we use "Kleen Screen" at work.

When I don't have that, I use just some plain water with a clean washcloth and wipe dry with another clean cloth immediately.

Took me awhile before I got the courage to remove that plastic wrap!
