5. Tim Finn was a founding member of Split Enz

Neil Finn, who I am named after, joined later and wrote and sung their hits "I Got You" and "One Step Ahead". Neil later formed the group Crowded House, who had big hits with "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong". Their best music remains largely undiscovered in the US.

Since the late 90s, Neil has had a solo career. His last CD "One All", was produced by Wendy & Lisa and featured Sheryl Crow on several tracks.

The brother's music has been described as very Beatle-esque.

Neil is my favorite songwriter, hands down. When I joined DU and had to pick a user name, I chose Finnfan to honor him.

8. I LOVED the Split Enz album "True Colours"!!!

I still have the etched album of that..."Poor Boy" was my theme song for a romance back then...It's good to hear they're still putting stuff out!!! :)
