This thread is for nothing but rants. What's really peeving you now - go ahead and rant away. All I ask is you not rant about other folks here at DU or for that matter, other candidates.

My Rant for today!

ELEVATORS:

What the heck! Why do people take freaking elevators when they are only going from one floor to another? I work in a 20 story building and my floor is near the top and to top things off there is a parking garage in the first couple of floors so the main elevators go from the lobby straight to the first floor with cubicles. So yes, I take the elevator each morning to get to my floor. But guarentee there is someone who'll pop in the elevator only to get off on the absolute next floor. TAKE THE DAMN STEPS WILL YOU!!! I mean, if I have to go someplace that is 1 or 2 floors away I'll walk the damn steps instead of irritating the hell out of everyone on the elevator.

seat down, when they know you are male!!!!

2. What about those people that look at you with 'yecth' on their face

just because you heat up yesterdays coffee cause you are a cheap sonofa bit*h! Whats with them?

3. Pet peeve: Bad drivers.

I'm driving on a 3-lane highway in the right line. Someone pulls out in front of me, making me slam on my brakes. He drives in front of me until the car that was coming up in the middle lane is at the right point, then he pulls out in front of that car, and then ditto the left lane. Then, after thoroughly pissing everyone off, he turns off. P.S. The three drivers he cut off where the only drivers within blocks. He never really had to do any of it, if he'd waited 4.125 seconds.

4. what I really hate is redundancy

and repetition too, I might add. Also people who plagiarize (the way my little joke there came from James r Lileks).

This thread is a dupe of NSMAs rant thread which is still on the first page. It's like deja vu all over again.

7. my pet peeve

You know how you're driving along on the highway and there's construction ahead and the road is narrowing from 3 lanes to 2? I can't stand it when some stupid mook goes speeding past you and then wants you to let them in line at the last possible moment.

8. Man I hate those people

Or how about this one:

we were going to a Flyers game and as usual, the exit on I95 you get off of to go to the stadium was backed up a mile. Now you KNOW that exit is coming up because they have signs announcing it about 3 miles before it but yet I hate the idiots that don't wait in line and just try to cut into the front (which also blocks up another lane of traffic).

My friend was shocked I wouldn't let people in who did stuff like that. No way - they knew where the exit was at but were trying to scam a place in front of the line. And believe me, if you see my Blue Toyota and you try to cut in front YOU WILL NOT GET IN! (traffic is bumper to bumper- I'll get right up to the next guy's bumper)
