I did this a couple of months ago, and kind of forgot about it.

It's a new logo I made up for the possible rebirth of the Winnipeg Jets.

Just so you know: I did this COMPLETELY by scratch, and from my imagination. This is completely my own design. Nobody has ever drawn this before.

1. Go Coyotes!!!
Not much of a hockey fan, hardly at all but It looks like a nice logo. Maybe you should come in contact with NHL owners or owners of other sports. Now what is that red area above the E? Is it the design of the territory(state?) the team played in?

2. Yes, it's the shape of Manitoba.
Edited on Sun May-09-04 03:19 AM by northwest
The star is the position of the city of Winnipeg inside Manitoba.

Usually people don't get what "that red thing" on top of the E is.:)

3. That's cool
The fact the star is where the city is, I didn't spot that part. I like the logo.

6. Well, that's what you think...

I'd say the chances right now are 50/50 that it'll happen by 2007.

13. Yes they did.

Attendance throughout 17 years averaged 13,000 in the 15,500-seat WPG Arena. That was better than the Minnesota North Stars through those years. And now Minnesota has the Wild, and they sell out every game. I was a hardcore Jets fan growing up in Fargo, so I know that this can happen.

Again, go to the website for more info debunking the myth that Winnipeg can never have NHL hockey again.

14. Interesting...
Every game I went to was half-empty. And the money wasnt there... People didn't want to pay for tickets, a new arena, anything.
*shrug* If they come back, fine. But I'd rather have my tax dollars continue to be used for something worthwhile.

12. You might want to embed your name onto it in some way in case
someone wants to lift your very good design. :) Maybe the artists here at DU can tell you how to go about this.
