I'm looking to buy something, but I don't know if it exists (help please).

OK, does anybody remember that CNN documentary series from 1998-1999 entitled "Cold War"??? It's a 26-part documentary that lasted 6 months. In my opinion, it was the greatest documentary series in history. It was probably my favourite non-comedy related program on TV in my life. It was completely better than anything Ken Burns has ever done, and I think Ken Burns is a genius.

So what I'm looking for is the entire series on DVD. I know it exists on video, but I need the DVD set. I don't care if it costs 1,000 dollars. I'm expecting some money to come my way this summer anyway, so I'll be able to afford it.

I NEED to have that DVD series!!! If anyone knows where one can purchase it online, that would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'll keep this kicked if I don't get any responses.

5. The problem is that DVDs weren't common in 1998-99...

...so there might be a slight chance it doesn't exist on DVD. But then again, knowing the marketing savvy of CNN, I'm sure they produced a DVD set too.

edit: sorry, that was the VHS. Check the details and contact the producer or distributer and ask them when it will be available on DVD.

Amazon has a link for "other formats" typically when they exist. A search for it under DVDs yields nothing. That is a pretty good sign your not going to find anything in your preferred format.

9. It was a great documentary

I remember watching most of the episodes. There were a few I didn't catch. I found extremely educatational as well, but never dull.
