...the Otis Redding song I just played ("Pain In My Heart"). The kid was positively breathless! "Man, what a great song! What CD is that on? Where can I get it?"

It's phone calls like this one that make hosting my show worthwhile! :bounce:

Play "Dock of the Bay" and point out that that was our theme song at Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam.

Poor Otis. Three days after recording "Dock of the Bay," Redding's Beechcraft H-18 crashed into an icy Wisconsin lake on Dec. 10, 1967. Otis Redding, dead at 26. The Barkays, dead too. RIP you soul singers. RIP.
