anyone have color problems with their vision?
kehpra's post about hearing got me thinking...

ive done hearing and sight tests in one of my classes, while im not color blind, i dont see the same colors as the rest of you.

i (apparently) am missing a few sections of blue, but can see slightly into the infared. but i never would know the difference... no comparison point.

so whats up with everyone's vision? anyone color blind? anyone got the weird thing where i do with the loss of color in one area and extra color in another?

damn im bored, sorry for the annoying post. lol

2. I confuse red and green...

...but my vision is a bit enhanced on the blue end.

Don't ask 'what red and green look like' to me. They look like they've always looked to me. I guess they both tend to blend toward brown. I can distinguish some shades of red and green, but if the brightness and saturation values are the same, they look very similar to me.

4. Obviously, you are part honey bee. Those little critters do not see color
the way most humans do: they see up to sixteen primary colors going on into the ultra violet and infra red... }(

5. Red/green deficiency
is what my eye doctor said that I have. Very common. Particulary amongst males.

Not drastic for me, but I'd have a hard time becoming a commerical airline pilot or a certified electrician, or so I've been told.

All I know is that I can't remember if I own a green couch or a brown couch, because I sure can't tell by looking at it.

8. No, it's not that bad for me...
I did know someone that had to have one red lens in his glasses to help him differentiate between traffic lights. He had to get that to be able to get a license. It's not anywhere near that bad for me. It's only subtle shades of green and red that i see as brown.

6. Someone else posted, ages ago,
the question 'do you notice a difference in color perception between your eyes? Because when I cover one eye, it looks more red and when I cover the other, it looks more blue.' This is something I'd noticed, too, and I think several others posted they also could notice this under certain conditions. Probably not dissimilar to what you're talking about. Not sure what it means, if anything, but it's not unheard of.

9. My poor cousin
I don't know if he knows it yet (hes only 9 or so) but the only color he can see is yellow, some yellowy browns, but thats it. We tried to get him to make rainbows with blocks with us and the only color he got right consistently was yellow. He's going to have trouble dressing himself without clashing terribly.
