When was the last time you did a full system scan for viruses?

5. Today - Norton
Between Norton, ZoneAlarm and a router, I am reasonable safe.

7. mmm never
Sad to say, isn't it? Been online 15 years -- yeah, we used to have this thing called BBS before the Internet -- and I've been lucky this long, knock on wood. At least my computer is paid for, like years ago, if it all goes up in smoke.

8. It's The Data That I'm Concerned About... I Scan Frequently, But
I archive my files onto CD (and/or my slave hard drive) less frequently.

All those names and addresses and phone numbers in my database. All my correspondence (both printed and email). All those email addresses.

The saved porn? Ahhh... No big deal if it were deleted. I can download more later.

9. Yesterday. First time in 18 months!
Why? I bought a new computer 18 months ago. A Dell, all set up by my son when it arrived, before I even got home from work. At one point I went looking for Norton, and didn't find it. I thought I was doing something wrong, and it must be there. And I just forgot about it until I got a message from my ISP about the Sasser worm and decided to run a scan. And couldn't find it again. Turns out it was never loaded; all that software in the box was supposed to be pre-loaded, but the antivirus software was missed. So I installed and scanned. I'm clean, and rich with really, really, dumb luck today.
