...but wombats, being marsupials, are excluded from the "giant rodent" category.

Capybaras don't tunnel; they live in grasslands and marshes. Wombats tunnel. :-)

9. You know, I'm glad that God gave each continent...

Kind of its own "pet" small animal. South America has the Capybara; Australia has the Wombat(and the Tazmaninan Devil); North America has the Prairie Dog, the Porcupine AND the Sea Otter; Europe has the Hedgehog. I think Asia and Africa actually have several, depending upon what part of those continents you're talking about.

Capybaras are pretty cool-looking, though; they almost look as though they're the product of a love affair between a Hampster and a Miniature Pony! :eyes:

Of course, it's kind of hard to figure out just WHO would've gotten together to make a Platypus! :crazy:

It must be true I saw it on the web.

I forget exactly where but I showed it to a catholic co-worker and she almost wet herself laughing when she saw the article.

11. Yes, but they are

tricky. Had 2 escape when I worked at the zoo. It took days to find them, caught one and the other was AWOL for another couple of days. That last one was difficult to catch, I think the poor thing was scared but we caught him without too much trauma (ours) and they were reunited. Don't really know why they escaped (or how) since they had a very nice place to live and lots of good food.

I hope this doesn't show up twice, I am having trouble posting for some reason.
