Things that Canadian MPs argue about...
MP mispronunciation sparks sex kitten cat fight in House of Commons

Conservative MP Jason Kenney mangled the pronunciation of Gina Lolabrigida's name as he criticized a trip former public works minister Alfonso Gagliano took in 2001. Kenney, who has in the past boasted of his virginity, said the only business Gagliano conducted on the trip to Italy was to rub shoulders with Lolabrigida, whom he called an "aging sex kitten."

Kenney's mispronunciation of the famous actress's name led to cat calls from the Liberal bench. Human Resources Minister Joe Volpe, who was born in Italy, even called Kenney an "idiot."

2. You should have included the last paragraph:
Through howls of laughter, Kenney later apologized if he offended anyone in "the aging sex kitten community."

It's no news to me that Kenney is an idiot. Just today I noticed a big sign near my house for his upcoming Town Hall meeting. Problem is, the sign is sitting in the wrong riding: Stephen Harper's. Maybe he's trying to get more people there, but if it's a full house (around here that's a strong possibility) he may wind up with a lot of folks there who can't vote for him, taking up seats that his actual potential voters would have otherwise filled.

3. That;'s odd...
I thought "idiot" was on the official list of words that MPs can't call each other... maybe that's in Britain.

There's an old story from the BC legislature...

Hon. Gordy Gibson: Mr. Speaker, the honourable gentleman from Kamloops is a damned liar!

Speaker: Will the honourable gentleman retract those remarks? We are expected to stick to facts in the debate...

Hon. Gordy Gibson: Very well, Mr. Speaker, it's a FACT that the honourable gentleman from Kamloops is a damned liar!

:silly:

4. Ah....Jason Kenney. Oh the things I know about Mr. Kenney,
his claimed Virginity, his hot young interns, and his fundamentalist Catholicism. It's too easy.
