What do I get a girl for a high school grad gift?

She is graduating from a private Catholic HS. I asked her mother (my best friend) if she needed anything for dorm life, you know, like some liquor or a bong, but the mother hasn't emailed me back.

Any ideas? (She's in CA. Too bad I can't ship a tank of gas from TX).

I send a $25.00 gift certificate from Bed&Bath, Lowe's or Home Depot. Another smaller and good gift certificate which will be used by students, is a $10, $15. certificate to Kinkos.

I gave my friend's daughter cash and she bought a $25.00 bottle of wine for her boyfriend. She felt proud to tell me about it and her father was embarrassed. I never gave her anything again.

7. Money is always a good thing. Even a little bit. You could also get

her a gift card to say, a book store. That could come in handy. Or better yet, working on the gas idea...get her a gift card for gas. :hi:
