Historians; Has any American President been hated more than GWB?
A serious question here. Other than perhaps Lincoln, I cannot think of an American President who has been loathed and detested by as large a portion of the population as GWB. Can anybody else come up with one?

3. GW polarizes the nation
GW polarizes the country in a way that is unique, at least in our generation. You either love him or you hate him, it's really revealing how divided the country is on many issues.

4. Rutherford B Hayes
Also known as his Fraudelency... who also got to the WH due
to the Electoral college

Unlike Bush, he actually TRIED to rule from the center as he had
no mandate

5. There was allot of hatred towards FDR
Clinton, and President Jr. probably were hated more.

Lets see, LBJ, To some extent Kennedy, and don't forget Nixon.

They all had public image problems.

7. Almost every other president
The right wing hated Clinton with a passion. Maybe not in as large numbers, but it probably wasn't far off.

Everyone pretty mush disliked Bush I. Reagan, Ford, Nixon, LBJ was detested by a ton of left wingers and right wingers. The list goes on and on. It is nothing unusual for a President to be hated by the opposition.

10. I don't know about the numbers
but as far as the depth of loathing Bush* has got to be up there. He does something to me just looking at him. It actually brings on a physical response just to see his face.
