Man listening to gospel music drives through house

I was watching the news last night, and they came on with a story about someone crashing through a woman's house.
It seems that there was a woman stopped at a redlight in her suv, when a man driving a large truck pulling a trailer, rear ended her, then continued through a garage and out the backside. Nobody was injured, and the lady who lived there had just left for work.

It was the cause of the accident that caught my attention, the man driving the truck said he was listening to gospel music at the time, and, didn't see the redlight, the car stopped for it, nothing.

The first thing that popped into my head, was a vision of this guy, listening to gospel, with his eyes closed, face raised skyward with a goofy smile, then BAM CRASH OH FUCK.

1. What difference does the type of music make?

If the guy would have been listening to Metallica, would that band or style of music been at fault? Obviously the truck driver wasn't paying attention, and wouldn't have been paying attention if he was listening to Beethoven, Metallica, or Muddy Waters, in all likelihood.
