I think I have the Sasser virus
I don't know what to do and I am not sure whether it is on my labtop or not.

Everytime I log onto the internet, whether it be on dial-up or broadband, a screen pops up saying my computer will shut down in 60 seconds.

Do I have the Sasser? What should I do?

Microsoft has a page up, including a removal tool. Run the check (step 3) and install the patches.

Anyway, usually the "60 seconds" occur when Sasser fails to infect your PC, this might be because it is already infected.

Edit: Microsoft checks only for Sasser.A and Sasser.B - there are more variants out there. If the check comes clean, try Symantec's tool as well.

Don't forget the patches!

3. Ugh, that sucks!
Our entire work system (including like 70 offices) had it yesterday. The computers kept shutting down and restarting. It sucked, good luck getting rid of it!
