Do you *want* him to become a Republican or something? This is just irresponsible parenting as far as I'm concerned. We all know that things a baby experiences early in life will impact the child as he/she matures. Exposure to elephants at an early age cannot bode well for this baby's political conscience.

Please get rid of the elephant now and replace it with a stuffed donkey before it's too late!

We're looking for hard-core partisans here ;).

You should get three or four donkeys and then arrange them in a talk-show format where the stuffed animals become pundits expressing their views. The donkeys could be like "Hi there little baby... I'm a Democrat and I support universal health care to make sure you never get sick and to guarantee that there will be plenty of health-care workers to take care of you and your mommy". Then the second donkey could say "as a physician, I concur. Furthermore, I believe that a good public education system is critical to giving you oppertunities when you're a grown-up. We Democrats will do everything we can to make sure you get the best education in the world". After all this, the lone elephant could say "Mmmmm.... I'm a Republican and when you grow up we're going to force you to join the Army and go far away to fight the terra-ists and secure critical supplies of oil... er... freedom. You won't have a choice in the matter! Bwa ha ha HA HA HA HA"

I think you see where I'm headed with this. Perhaps you could get professional puppeteers an voice actors and create a similar show on PBS...
