...of an evening years ago. My girlfriend at the time was in Huntsville, Alabama, for a two week training class. I had just moved into a new apartment, with no furniture, just lots of wooden floors and plaster walls and I was lonely. After a few glasses of wine I called her and we talked for about an hour when, without thinking, I really cut one loose. I didn't realize how loud it would be in that empty room. It was so loud my girlfriend said, "What was THAT?" Mortified, I told her my neighbor was practicing his tuba and his roommate had opened their door. She said, "Well, he's not very good is he?" She bought it!

She's now my wife. She hears the tuba a lot these days.
