San Francisco DUers...Opinion on this area (see link) of SF Please.
Edited on Fri Apr-30-04 11:06 AM by masmdu
I found a one bedroom apt in a nice old Edwardian building on Woodward St. for $1350 (4 rooms total). Inner Mission/Duboce Triangle area. I used to live in North Beach 10 years ago and am thinking of moving back to SF. I'm not familiar with this area.

Opinons on this area...?....this price...?

Thanks for the help.

3. The area is not that bad
But you're paying a big chunk of change in a renters market. If you have to be in the city, fine. If not, go to Oakland, say Jack London Square or North Oakland/Lake Merritt and save a lot of money.

4. I don't know the area well enough to comment
but maybe if you post this in the state forum, it will last long enough for SF DUers to notice. Good luck.

5. It's OK, but it ain't North Beach.
It's somewhat on the grungy side, and you'll be in the general proximity of a concentration of "street" people (drug addicts, etc.) It's certainly not dangerous like Hunter's Point or certain parts of Oakland, but it's a bit on the dreary side. You will have great access to MUNI lines, though.

I live not too far away in the same general proximity. I have never had reason to fear for my physical safety, but I live even closer to a large concentration of drug addicts and homeless people and it's getting on my nerves now.
