Sometimes your only reply is time, and most of the time, the people that laughed at your predictions won't even make the connection.

Basically, we Dems suffer Republicans, some less gladly than others.

They'll say the opposite on their site, but they just don't get it.

They'll even say we don't get it on their site because we post them posting that we don't get it, but still, they just don't get it.

Sometimes they'll even counterattack and just come out and say that we don't get it, but that's equally easy to see through. Wingers are famous for that logic.

They'll then point to this very post saying they don't get it and say that's proof that we don't get it and argue that they get it because they got it first and nobody could possibly get it before they got it because they are not tainted by outside influences and other lieberal crap like logic, reason, facts, and education, but sooner or later, usually on their deathbeds when it's too late, they'll get it.
