3. Mine have to be asleep
They freak out too much and I become dangerous with the cat clippers.
It's time to trim again. Pixel just got her's caught in the window screen yesterday and cried.

15. LOL, i know exactly what you mean
I wake mine up, I trim him when I know he is taking a deep sleep. That way, I get him when he is too tired to do anything about it.

Maybe I would feel bad for him if he didn't sleep eighteen hours a day!

6. Believe it or not...Merlin loves getting his nails trimmed. He just lays
there on his back and I clip away. He's such a good boy. Now the dog...well...that's another thread in itself. :hi:

7. Do like I do.
Make sure after the trimming is done, they get a treat.

It helps calm them immensely, since they know they are getting some goodies right after.

(Don't have to do Lucky's nails since when I found her, she had already been declawed.)

8. Hey if you really want to send them over the edge
We cut our cats nails after we give them a bath. You get some interesting growls from under the towel we rap around them.

12. My cats need clipped soon!!
When I had Abbie, I'd just take him to the pet store and have them clipped there. But with Evita, I'm going to have to learn to do them on my own. Abbie likes to play with his paws and I've been scratched enough times.

Wish me luck!! Going to buy the clippers this weekend!!!

16. no,if I had a kevlar suit id send to Iraq for people that need it more
than me. the other 2 cats watch to see what horrible things I am doing to the other one while I clip the nails, just as I let the first one go, I quick grab the other one. After I put out some wet food, which they dont get much, or tuna , which the really like.

14. You are gonna get dull-clawed to death in your sleep...
They won't mind it at that point, it will just be slower and more painfilled. :) Cats are evil geniuses.
