What are your feelings about pantyhose?

I should say I'm biased. I detest pantyhose and probably always will, but sometimes I like wearing skirts and sometimes it's just a bit too cool to be bare under it, so something has to be worn. I think I was born in the wrong decade because I actually like stockings and garters just for comfort alone, but they're expensive and stockings are harder to find (you can't just get them at Walgreen's or the supermarket usually). Today was a pantyhose day because I had a function tonight at my daughter's school and wanted to be a little dressier. As soon as I got home though, I yell "Freedom!" and throw them away (of course there was a run during the course of the day). I'm ready to just say "F-it!" and stockpile a bunch of stockings. :grr:

I want to start a campaign to bring back stockings!!!

If it comes down to it, I'll wear tights - but I've been able to avoid those situations for years. Bare is the only way I roll anymore! :)

5. Wore the da*m things for years

when I had to. I can't remember the last time I actually pulled on a pair. I've been a mom for the past 5 years. One of the perks is not having to deal with pantyhose.

Yucky. I don't wear them in humid, warm climes except under duress of a social situation. And even then...probably not. And Hollywood "says" don't wear them with open toed shoes. Slides are my friend.

If you don't like to tan with the sun, you can purchase one at your local drugstore.

I wear those little socks that stay inside your shoes (I think they're called peds)

I will wear black tights sometimes, and occasionally stockings and garters. You can get inexpensive stockings at target.

Panty hose are hot the way a girl in a warm up suit can be hotter than one in CFM pumps and a mini. Natural is always hotter than contrived.

My students recently gave presentations and all the women wore those stupid things with slacks and even pedal pushers!! I damn near laughed but controlled myself because, after all, I am the teacher.

THEY'RE EVIL! They are disgusting implements of torture. They're sheer (heh) vanity, foisted upon women to the point that if you do NOT wear them w/ a business skirt you are considered embarrassingly nude. A business-suited woman w/out nylons is like a man in a suit & tie without a shirt. That they are a requirement is absurd, and they are among the reasons I never wear skirts and dresses.

They are the stupidest and most uncomfortable garment on the face of the earth.

Great hose/shirt analogy. Personally I never wear a business suit without a shirt. :)
