Gov. Dean Will Not be Speaking

Due to a series of unfortunate complications this afternoon, Governor Dean will not be speaking at the March for Women’s Lives. The day was otherwise a huge success as Governor Dean joined a Democracy for America delegation of over 1,000 people and a total March attendance of what is being estimated at over 1 million.

All of the staff on the ground (keep in mind they may be a bit biased) claim that Governor Dean was the big draw of the day… stopping people on the street dead in their tracks for pictures, autographs and handshakes.

3. They ran out of time
There was a later announcement that the program started an hour late. The Park Service gave them an extra half-hour, but that wouldn't have left time for Dean, who was supposed to speak last. He didn't want to bump the other speakers.

5. It's a real shame
But that was the right thing for him to do. I think he only had 3 minutes, anyway.
