10. Yeah, I got it yesterday from a friend in NJ. She had cc-ed me
and a bunch of NJ Rs. I let them have it via snopes and my belief that "under god" should be eliminated from the pledge.
I then sent them two follow-up e-mails. The first was an article from the Cleveland Plain Dealer touting Kerry's war record. The second was the Rasmussen poll showing Kerry leading bush 51%-39% in NJ. In that one, I asked why they just don't give up on bush in NJ and face the fact that he's going to get creamed...AGAIN!
12. Since this started in 2001 with an actual Dr Pepper campaign,
it has also been used to smear Coke.
Whenever I get this one, I issue the following challenge: "send me an e-mail when you see one of the offending Pepsi/Coke/Moxie cans in a store. You won't because they don't exist. This is an urban legend that was debunked 3 years ago. Of course, that won't stop die-hard right-wingers from boycotting Pepsi...at least until there's a huge sale at Wal-Mart. Then the R's will buy tons of the shit because it *makes good economic sense.*
