Man fined $325 for taunting and annoying a squirrel

A Council Bluffs man was cited Tuesday night for one of Council Bluffs' most unusual laws: annoying a black squirrel.

City Attorney Richard Wade said roughly in the 1930s, the City Council adopted an ordinance barring people from bothering black squirrels.

According to the ordinance, it is illegal to annoy, worry, maim, injure or kill the squirrel."

In northern WI, my Mom's bird houses get raided by red squirrels.

My Dad shoots any they see on thier property.

Squirrels are just rats in drag.

But black squirrels are the worst. Kent, OH (my town) is overrun with the bastards - about 20 years or so, a group from Kent State went, with their prof, on a field trip to Canada and smuggled back some of these bastards and let 'em go. They multiplied and we are overrun with 'em. They are unnatural - have no fear of humans, and if confronted, will stamp their little paws and hiss at you. Left to their own devices they will rape your wimmen folk, steal your car, and write bad checks. Forget bombs and artillery - we shoulda sent black squirrels to Iraq. Them there terra-ists woulda been beggin' for mercy.
