Damn I missed the removal of the helmet!
I was so distracted by BD being wounded that I missed finding out that he has black hair.

1. And he's graying at the temples.
Made me think of Joe Conason for some bizarre reason.

3. Yeah, saw that.
Aren't we all greying a bit? :)

Still...the helmet? THE HELMET!!!! That is almost worse than the leg!

And how is he going to coach football when he gets back?

I agree with the "Blowback" messages. This is going to be a very interesting move for Gary, and I applaude him for taking it. I jsut hope he dosen't fall into the same pit that Batiuk did when he made "Funky Winkerbean" an alcoholic. That just took over the strip and it became less......something.

12. Got two of these, too
:P

Just not in that color. The KBC may actually be the better helmet, for way cheaper.

14. Only did that once
and the hilarity of my lowside was equal to the damage to my bike. Are you up around SF? As many wingnuts there are in riding, it'd be good to know of a sane person at trackdays etc.

15. Nope, down in the OTHER California
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 03:58 AM by ForrestGump
And once is definitely more than enough when it comes to becoming one with pavement. So keep the shiny side up, the ruber side down, and watch out for squidly/criserly wingnuts and cell-phoning SUV maniacs!

Don't do this.

If you do, wear a helmet, among other things.

Including a cup....

17. Had a kid in Germany roll it over in front of me.
I was doing about 90 mph when he blew past me and hit a truck ripple. Got to watch him spin down the autobahn thinking to myself "he's dead, he has got to be dead." Brought the truck to a stop w/o hitting himor the pieces of his bike. SOB got up and walked away. He'd rolled onto his back and "turtled up" and that armored racing jacket he had on saved him. He lost one plate in the shoulder and was down to plastic in the back. We threw his bike in the back of the truck and I took him home.
