IMHO, THIS thread should be allowed to stay for 'discussion' purposes since you are leaving the BITCH thread open.

1. good question.
And my guess is that this one stays open -- sexist language is just fine here (although if the pendulum swung to mostly anti-male language, that would change) but not other kinds of bigotry.

I would really like to know why that is, too.

3. Once again, you bring up an excellent point
"Prick" is a derogatory term aimed at males, a reference to male genitalia. Something of the equivalent of the female term "cunt" in this country, but somehow, use of "prick" has become more commonplace and acceptable.
