Help Wanted - I need a service tech!!!
If there is a job shortage, I'd like to know where....we have been trying to hire someone and can't find anyone. We have a heating & air conditioning business and need a service tech. As of today there were over 15 ads in the paper looking for techs. These aren't cheapy jobs - we are talking about a few years experience getting you $16-$20/hr. plus benefits. Over 5 years experience and you are possibly looking at $50,000 - $70,000/yr.

It just seems that nobody wants to do the blue collar work anymore...

Sorry to vent...I feel better now.

will you train? Will you shoulder any moving costs? Health insurance? What's the cost of housing there? Do you care what your employees do on their off time?
