6. actually it's (from what I've read) not set in stone

one of those things that just came into being.

Most link it to a high school in Mendocino (sp?) county, california from what I remember.

I have not researched more in quite a few years.

That way back in the days of yore (the 60's Man!)... young people who went under the cultural stereotype of "Hippie" would meet each day at the ordained time of 4:20 to partake in their favorite communal herbal sharing (i.e. - roll a doobie & toke up)...subsequent attempts to turn this practice into a "Holiday" began to focus on the day the time 4:20 (April the 20th).

Hence the legend of 4/20.... this might be true...or maybe I just made this up...I'm not sure why I can't remember :smoke:
