Silly question about the term "DUer"

A friend of mine asked me this question and I honestly didn't know how to answer because I never really thought about it:

How do you pronounce "DUer"? Is it "Dee-You-er" or "Doo-er"?

I always assumed it was "Dee-You-er" and that's why her question threw me a bit. It never occurred to me that it was "Doo-er" ... but after thinking about it for a while, I realized that it could be "Doo-er", LOL!

So ... is there an "official" pronunciation of "DUer"? :silly:

It's spelt "DUer" but pronounced.....

"Raymond Luxury Yacht"

'Yacht' pronounced..... 'Yackt'.

Its interchangable ...

IF the target sentence seems 'better' when you say DEE-YOU-er, then say that ...

Otherwise: Say DOO-er ...
