Favorite comic strips (old or current) ?
Just saw Opus on someone's post, and it got me thinking of my all time favorite "funny paper" strips.

My personal favs:

Bloom County
Calvin and Hodges

I know there were many more I have enjoyed through the years - jog my memory

Far Side is second in my book.

This Modern World, Boondocks, Ted Rall and Asylum on 5th street are my favorite political/reality comics.

Dilbert is good, but it's seems like the people that read it like to "spend their wheels without going anywhere" if you catch my drift.

also "Crankshaft" can be really funny on occasion.

"Doonesbury" by Gary Trudeau. Sometimes Ted Rall, although I far, far prefer his excellent op-ed writing.

33. Calvin and Hobbes and Far Side... and recently, Bizarro....
I have really gotten into Bizarro since seeing the creator, Dan Piraro's tour with the PolitiComedy-a-GoGo (www.comicsagainstevil.com.

He said in his opening monologue that he never got political in his comics before, but ever since the election that wasn't, he has been getting more and moreso. I have been reading as many of his strips as I can since then. He and all the guys in the show were really nice too.
