Any DU indie rock people who still listen to vinyl
Edited on Fri Apr-16-04 02:06 PM by vi5
With a 2 year old daughter whose grandparents like to spoil her with large toys, which in turn result in an ever-shrinking house, I'm cleaning out the last of my vinyl and assorted other stereo stuff. I've either committed everything already to cd or mp3 or whatever and I just need the space. Here is a link to my ebay auctions if anyone is interested. Mostly early to mid-90's type stuff. Nothing particularly rare but there are some bargains and gems in the mix, particularly in the mixed lot of 7" records, which I just got too lazy to list individually.

Sorry for the shameless self promotion, but since I can't listen to this stuff any more I'd like to see it get a good home, and I know there are more than a few folks on here who I've talked music too pretty frequently. And if you do buy anything from me and mention DU, I'll provide free shipping.

2. lot of nice stuff there
we can't bear to get rid of the vinyl despite the same type of situation ( kid, toys, this was a big house before we decided to breed) even though several turntables have come and gone. I have old Ramones records, Replacements, Buzzcocks, Red Krayola, Patti Smith, Per Ubu, stuff I had forgotten while we were chasing a toddler. You name it all the punk and post punk goodies. After my son became able to walk and now can pour his own drinks, etc. (he is 8) and we don't have to worry about him falling over all the time, we moved the vinyl pile yet again, and said, wow, look at all this stuff!

You have my empathy and admiration. You are doing what we cannot.
