Do you ever change your mind just before posting something?

I don't know how many times I've begun typing on a post only to change my mind and press "Back" instead of "Post Message".

1. All the time

I'll write a long response and then say "naaah, they aren't even listening!"

3. I do that too.

Most often I do it because I realize I'm only rephrasing what others have said.

Other times because, even if I've something to add, I can't think of a short way to state it.

(Then again, sometimes I go ahead and post my senseless wall-o-text messages. Sorry about those, folks. )

8. I abort replies, thousands, for the following reasons:

1) I have a definite opinion or some info but I realize that I have no way of properly expressing it without being misunderstood.

2) My reply, on review, sucks.

3) I realize the thread may possibly be about an entirely different thing than I thought. This is often the case with discussions about alternative music. (eg. "I Love Galoshes! Do you?" would probably inspire me to write a dissertation on why I don't wear galoshes, only to realize later that "Galoshes" is a radical new band from Seattle.)

4) Somebody else really said the same thing only better.

5) I don't really know much about the poster so they may resent my congratulating them on n posts or they may fear I might be stalking them.

6) My reply is already too long to be worth reading.

7) No matter how I phrase it, this person is not going to "look into homeopathy" and a lot of people will think I'm loony for suggesting it.

8) I touched that funny wheelie thing on top of my Intellimouse and God only knows where I've ended up.

9) Decide I should let myself "cool down" before submitting the reply and then forget about it.

10) Realize I wrote the same reply a few days earlier to a similar post.
