Beefarianism -- Bullshit or reality?

When I met Stanley Owlsley, the famous LSD chemist, in 1990, he tried to convince me that he was a beefarian, and had eaten nothing but beef for many years -- no beef sandwiches, no side salads, no steak and potatoes - all beef, all the time.


All I said was - 'OK', because someone feeds me a line of bullshit, I don't spend my energy shoveling it.


What do you think? Was that total bullshit? or was there a chance it had some grounding in reality?
