Poll question: Greatest pop single ever!
Of course we love all these classics, but if you HAD to pick JUST ONE, which would it be?

2. I know. Slaughter's pretty good, too, but I'm focusing on singles here.
And "Up All Night" really wasn't as good as some of their album tracks.

3. Slaughter was more of an album rock band
You've got to listen to the work as a whole.

17. Paul McCartney's 9-11 cash in "Freedom"
It's hard to believe he's half of the greatest songwriting team of the 20th century with mindless crap like this...

This is my right
A right given by God
To live a free life
To live in freedom

Talkin' about freedom
I'm talkin' 'bout freedom
I will fight
For the right
To live in freedom

Anyone tries to take it away
They'll have to answer
'Cause this is my right

I'm talkin' about freedom
Talkin' 'bout freedom
I will fight
For the right
To live in freedom

I'm talkin' 'bout freedom
I'm talkin' 'bout freedom
I will fight
For the right
To live in freedom

Everybody talkin' 'bout freedom
We're talkin' 'bout freedom
We will fight
For the right
To live in freedom

I'm talkin' 'bout freedom
Talkin' 'bout freedom
I will fight
For the right
To live in freedom

I'm talkin' 'bout freedom
I'm talkin' 'bout freedom
We will fight
For the right
To live in freedom

21. "Evergreen" (Barbra Streisand)
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 01:13 PM by TahitiNut
A collaboration of two immense pop musical talents: Paul Williams and Barbra, the song has an awesome range, fitting for Streisand's vocal talents.
