my 'puter got HIJACKED by something called the 'peper trojon'

one NASTY piece of work. a browser hijacked. put this 'new' menu bar at the bottom and launched an ARMY of rogue processes that ate up ALL my CPU. kill one, two more pop us.

could barely use the net and, of course, I was cut off from the knowledge base here which could probably have had it fixed in 5 minutes..... but finally found the right program to disinfect things. 5+ HOURS lost.

ARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!

today was a complete mess.

lots of sites were down -- bartcop forum, o'franken forum to name a couple.

i wound up posting on the smirking chimp.

someone over there posted a link from atrios that discussed the internet problems and others sites that were affected.
