A glimmer of hope on Dallas radio?

As I was driving in to work this morning, the DJ on Dallas' KDMX 102.9 (A Clear Channel station BTW) started talking about how he believed that the government has Bin Laden tucked away to be sprung on the public in time for the election.

He went on about how he thought the Bushies would need that kind of boost to win the election. AND just as a goof, when someone made a comment about the Bin Laden tapes, he said that they probably dragged him off to a Clear Channel radio studio to record them.

I couldn't believe it! :tinfoilhat: talk on DALLAS radio? Dallas is neo-con heaven. I'd be in no way shocked if Clear Channel fined or suspended him for such talk.

So I say, good on Jeff Elliott for speaking his mind.

6. If you're driving on the tolllway

just north of 635 look over to your left and there is a big building with Clear Channel on the side of it. It makes me want to puke every time I see it.

or write them, or email them, and LET THEM KNOW!

And even more critically important, essential in fact: LET THEM KNOW WHY!!!

These radio people (I know plenty of 'em, still) all fall back on the same crap - It's gotta get listeners. It's gotta be entertaining - like Rush. Gee, if there was a liberal talk show host who was funny (and/or entertaining) we'd put 'em on in a heartbeat.

Time to thank them for doing so.

if there's a silver lining in all this, it is the shocked 'awe jeez!' that you're gonna hear from 'conservatives' and 'patriots' and 'christians' as bushinc takes out their brass knuckles...

7. I work just..

a couple of buildings north of the clear channel building (in thebuilding with the hole in it) and i've often dreamed of something verra verra bad happening to it.

8. I used to work at Clear Channel corporate

I worked in the IT department at CC corporate in San Antonio for a year. It was the year that they doubled their size and bought the event promotions company as well. I was there when they bought Rush's show and started broadcasting it on all their talk radio stations.

I have seent the beast where it sleeps. Scary stuff indeed.
