Economic Recovery? 1,000 New Jobs in December
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 09:45 AM by HFishbine
At this rate, Bush will make up for the jobs lost under his administration in 216 years.

"The Labor Department said non-farm payrolls increased by 1,000 in December, far below the 136,000 expected by Wall Street economists, and the 181,000 to 200,000 expected by some traders on the Street."

2. Actually not
Because the population is growing, the system must add something like 150,000 new jobs each month just to stay even. So all these numbers say is that Bush lost another 149,000 jobs from that necessary to remain even.

3. To Wall Street friend of D.U.er who said huge increase in jobs...
was predicted. Don't believe your own hype. As I mentioned last night, the more they cheerlead the "Bush Recovery," the quicker we should run for cover.

4. Reutors News is Really Frightening Today....
No Recovery At All. The cheerleaders will continue to say, 'Weapons of Mass Distruction', 'Real Recovery' when we know that it's a BIG LiE.

7. I heard that on the radio as I was waking up
and because it was being treated as extremely good news, I thought that the announcer must have misread the numbers. But no, it really was "1,000."

Gee, I wonder if my friends who have been unemployed for two years can be first in line to get one of them.

9. disaster
And this report does not even account for all the damage. At the store where my husband works, they just cut everyone's hours ... full-timers will work 32 hours a week. All those people will stay employed, but 15% less pay ...
