Actually, if you look at it closely you'll see it's an index based on January 2002 = 100. Therefore consumer confidence is 0.1 points better than it was last year at this time, when it SUCKED.

Yes interesting that ~3 months after 9/11 (the cause of of things bad about the economy) confidence was just as strong as it is now.

5. I'm perfectly confident as a consumer.
Then again, I don't really consume all that much, and pay attention to my expenditures to make sure that I'm only spending money on things that give me value and fulfillment in return. :D
