I hope it invokes enough pain and curiosity in the populace to get some movement towards getting my fellow american troops HOME. As a Veteran I'm severely pissed off. You'll see in the flash WHY re: cutting of Troops VA Benefits WHILE THEY ARE DYING.

Turn up the speakers and spread the word - the White House and Army Chiefs need to see this one. Tell the Media to kiss my ass.

Here's what an actual soldier who just returned from Iraq wrote to us (we can't quote his name or he can be court marshalled):

Im a soldier who has recently returned from Iraq. I found this site through a link in a forum.
Every soldier I have talked to disagreed with the war. We didnt want to fight it, but we did. Because thats what soldiers do. We then began to change our minds when we found the torture chambers and the mass graves. Starving children just a few blocks away from a golden toilet. We justified to ourselves that the war was justified because we ridded the world of a terrible, terrible man. No matter how impotent he was to strike outside of his nation, he was still a threat to his own people. To us, we freed Iraqis from a dicator.
Now, that it is over, and the information that you are spreading I realise that my leaders have used me as a tool. I know oil was a factor in this. I accepted that and moved on, knowing I helped remove an evil man from his throne. But not even the Army Times, a very informative and fair newspaper for soldiers, let me know that my bosses are ready to throw me away like a GI Joe doll with a broken leg. Thank you for helping me to understand my oath as a soldier was loyalty to the nation and the Constitution, not a Ceasar wanna be. I will never, ever be loyal to him or his cronies.

This definitely deserves all the praise and extra kicks it has been getting.

I sent it to my friend who is a veteran. He said that it was ``a nice piece of work,'' but a little ``one-sided.'' Don't be insulted, this was praise coming from him. He and I have been going round and round regarding this war since before it started. He admitted that he was coming around to my point of view, but after the initial attack, he said that we are there to win. I know that he is probably indoctrinated, but it's very frustrating. He has his army buddies who are very gung-ho, but his family is very liberal and marches on the White House. He must be very conflicted.

I'm glad that your doctor liked it. He has the same intelligent appreciation as your colleagues on DU.:-)
